ticia lever LSDC

Profile

Ticia’s work is diverse but her passion is texture and colour. During her Diploma she became interested in the concept of fragility and created an installation of over 70 hanging shoes made from cotton thread moulded into shoe shapes.

She also created a large wall hanging based on rock formations made up of several layers of free hanging material showing how rocks are fragile as they are eroded over time.

Ticia has continued to create textiles based on rocks and their strata and other organic shapes, in addition to a recent series based on geometric squares.
