Profile
Gill is currently exploring different methods of discharge or colour removal incorporating her interest in mark making and resists whilst continuing to work with a limited colour palette. She works with natural fabrics and hand stitch either collaging from the palette of fabrics which she has created or working on larger whole cloth compositions.
Her inspiration comes from the lovely coastlines of North Norfolk and Iona and also from the traces and marks left behind by the wear and tear of life and the passage of time.
Gill completed the HE Diploma in Stitched Textiles at East Berkshire College where she received a Distinction.
